Yes, one really can believe that the “free market” system is inefficient, though I’m not beating anything and don’t have a cudgel: quite a metaphor there! I’m probably a lot more clichéd in being an overeducated stay-at-home homeschooling, homebirthing, babywearing parent than in my socialism … But oh well. At least I’m a happy little cliché.
I hope your use of “multiverse” is a reference to the Discworld novels, as they are wonderful.
